By Ray Hamill — Former Humboldt State player Alex Cappa is proving to be a fan favorite when it comes to Pro Bowl voting.
The Tampa Bay Bucs guard has been leading the way among NFC guards for the last few weeks and appears to be in prime position to close out the fan voting as the top vote getter at his position.
The fan votes count for one third of all votes, with players and coaches also voting for the honor.

Fan voting continues through Dec. 17.
This season’s Pro Bowl was scheduled for Las Vegas in late January, but the game itself will not take place because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Instead, the NFL, will host a week-long virtual event to honor the players.
Cappa enjoyed four stellar years at HSU before being drafted by the Bucs in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
