Unbeatable Fighting Cosces headed to the biggest stage of all

By Ray Hamill — The UFC now includes the Unbeatable Fighting Cosces.

On Tuesday night, the two brothers won their fights at the Dana White Contender Series in Las Vegas with impressive showings, earning each of them a UFC contract.

Afterwards, however, White made Orion sweat a little before making the announcement, calling him out for a big mistake during his fight.

“I’m going to tell you what I don’t like about Orion Cosce,” White told the ESPN audience, citing the moment when he — and his opponent Matt Dixon — both stopped fighting with three seconds remaining in a round. “It literally blew my mind.”

The victory, however, proved impressive enough to convince White, with a come-from-behind performance by Orion against a previously unbeaten Dixon.

“Get over here and don’t ever do that again,” White said to Orion, before handing him the contract.

Orion was taken down three times in the opening round, but made the necessary adjustments and began to dominate more and more as the fight went on, eventually getting a TKO with just 18 seconds remaining in the third and final round.

Afterwards, Orion admitted his big mistake.

“He’s right,” the 26-year-old said of White. “That’ll never happen again.”

Louis dominated his opponent, Victor Reyna, coming out fast and never relenting, and ending the fight barely over a minute in.

“This guy is a bad boy,” White said of Louis, who has now won all seven of his pro fights in the opening round.

“We haven’t gotten to see much,” White added, referring to all the quick finishes, “but that’s a damn good problem to have.”

Both brothers, who were each betting underdogs, also impressed the commentators, having overcome so much adversity to get to where they are, including an unpredictable upbringing and time in foster care.

“I don’t think we’ve ever seen a story (on the series) that I’ve enjoyed this much,” one of the commentators said.

Both Orion and Louis are now 7-0 as pros.
