By Ray Hamill — Local pro MMA fighter Cass Bell this week announced details of his next fight and will return to the cage later this month on the East Coast.
Bell, who is 5-0 as a pro, has been included on the preliminary card at Bellator 242 on July 24, which will be the first Bellator event since February.
The main event will be a bantamweight showdown between Ricky Bendejas and Sergio Pettis.
Bell, a former Arcata High wrestler, will fight Rauefon Stots, also at bantamweight.
Stots comes in with a record of 13-1 and is expected to give Bell his toughest challenge yet as a pro.
Bell’s last fight was at Bellator’s Salute to the Troops in Hawaii in December, where he won by decision against Pierre Daguzan.
