Eureka’s Mo Charlo earned himself a nice little paycheck on Tuesday night, helping the Golden Eagles to a championship at ESPN’s winner-takes-all million dollar Basketball Tournament.
Charlo scored five points as the Golden Eagles defeated Sideline Cancer 78-73 in the deciding game in Columbus.
The 6-foot-7 former NBA G League player added three rebounds, a steal and an assist, while going 3-for-5 at the free throw line.
As a member of the winning team, Charlo earned himself $90,000.
Eureka’s Team Beasts also announced recently that Charlo will be back coaching with the local AAU club this summer.
The Basketball Tournament is held annually and is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States.
This year’s event featured 24 teams.
