The Humboldt Eagles 19U American legion team turned a triple play on Thursday night, on the way to beating Medford 4-3 at the Northern California Country Classic.

With runners at first and second, Eagles first baseman Corbin Eichin caught a line drive and immediately stepped on the bag for a second out.

He then threw to second base, where shortstop Keenan Morris caught a second runner off the bag to complete the triple play.

The Eagles, who improved to 19-4 with the win, will continue tournament play with a doubleheader on Friday.
