By Ray Hamill — It’s been an impressive start to the American Legion baseball season for Arcata freshman Miles Oliver.

One of several players playing well early for the Northern Humboldt Knights, Oliver singled to reach base in game two of a doubleheader against the Humboldt Eagles on Thursday, before scoring all the way from first on a stolen base and an Eagles error.

Oliver has been instrumental in helping the 15U Knights to a 2-2 start this season, with all four of the team’s games having been decided by a single run.

The Knights won the opener 5-4 before dropping game two 3-2.
