By Ray Hamill — The Fortuna Huskies announced on Sunday afternoon that they are suspending all sports activities for the next two weeks, with the school set to close its doors amid the ongoing concern over COVID-19.

The Huskies join several other local schools who announced the same decision earlier in the day, including St. Bernard’s, McKinleyville and Arcata.

The 10 California section commissioners will meet on Tuesday to discuss the spring sports scheduling, with the H-DNL set to discuss the situation on Wednesday.
