By Ray Hamill — After selling out 800 tickets for Friday night’s playoff basketball games in just a matter of hours, College of the Redwoods announced that both games will be broadcast live on local radio, in addition to being streamed live online.

Both CR teams will host their playoff openers in what will be an historic first-ever postseason doubleheader at the school, and that has caught the attention of the local community, with tickets selling quickly.

Fans unable to get tickets, however, will still be able to follow the action live, both on the radio and online, or perhaps even listen to the commentary while watching the feed.

Tag Wotherspoon and Matt Tomlin will call the action from court side on MIX 95.1 FM, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m.

The pregame show gets under way at 5:15 p.m.

The live feed of both games will be available through the CR athletics and basketball Facebook pages.

MIX 95.1 FM will also broadcast the game game through its Facebook page.

After a wild rush on tickets on Wednesday afternoon, the final few quickly sold out on Thursday morning, with fans lined up at the school’s PE offices before they opened.

The school announced that some standing room only tickets may be released after 5:30 p.m. on Friday, if reserved tickets go unclaimed.
