The search for a new Athletic Director for Humboldt State is down to three finalists, each of whom will visit the campus in the coming days for a second interview and a meet and greet with the community.
The finalists are Allan “Cooper” Jones of China
Spring, Texas; Marcus Manning of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Jane Teixeira of Ladera Ranch, California.
The meet and greets, which will take place in The Great Hall, will be held later this week and early next week, with Jones scheduled to appear on Friday at 4:15 p.m., followed by Manning on Monday, also at 4:15 p.m., and Teixeira on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.
During the meet and greet, each candidate will share their vision for HSU athletics and take questions.
Attendees are encouraged to submit feedback.
Jones has 20 years of experience in sports and intercollegiate athletics and currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
Jones has also worked at Arizona State University, University of North Texas, University of Louisville, University of Maryland, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
Manning has over 17 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics. He is currently the Director of Athletics at Centenary College.
Manning has also worked at Maryville University, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Indiana University South Bend and University of California Irvine.
Teixeira has 25 years of experience in higher education as an administrator, coach, student-athlete, and leader. Teixeira currently serves
as the Senior Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at The PacWest Athletic Conference.
Teixeira has also worked at the University of Southern California (USC), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and Texas A&M International University.
