The Corsairs were shut out in their softball opener on Friday afternoon, falling 7-0 at Santa Rosa.
With less than two days of outdoor practice under their belts, the College of the Redwoods women managed just two hits for the game, one each by freshmen Grace Rosebrook and Sadie Wilkinson.
Defensively the Corsairs committed three errors.
Lindsey Scott took the loss in the pitcher’s circle, allowing 10 hits and one walk, while striking out one.
The CR women will look for their first wins of the season in a doubleheader at Chabot on Saturday.
