The Corsairs continued their winning start to the season in baseball on Friday, sweeping a pair of games from visiting Napa Valley at Bomber Field in Eureka.
The CR men won the opener 11-6 and took the nightcap 7-4.
Chandler Jones got his second win in as many games on the mound in game one, allowing two earned runs and five hits in seven innings, while striking out five.
At the plate, Caleb Ruiz and Roman Garcia each finished with three hits, including a double by Garcia.
Nathan Findley tossed three innings out of the pen for the win in game two, allowing three hits and striking out two.
Connor Parnell had the hot bat in the nightcap, finishing 2-for-3 with a double, while also stealing three bases.
Ruiz got the save.
CR and Napa will close out a four-game weekend stand at Bomber Field on Saturday, with a doubleheader of action getting under way at 10:30 a.m.
Ruiz, a former St. Bernard’s standout, will get the start on the mound in the opener.
CR is now 4-0.
