By Ray Hamill — The College of the Redwoods women’s basketball team remains at No. 18 in the latest state coaches poll, released on Wednesday morning.

The Corsairs, who broke into the top 20 last week, also remain at No. 11 in the latest NorCal rankings.

CR is the highest ranked Golden Valley Conference team in the state rankings, with Butte one spot back at No. 19.

Three other GVC teams, Feather River, Lassen and College of the Siskiyous, all remain just outside the top-20.

Strangely, despite the fact CR is ranked higher in the state, both Butte (No. 8) and Lassen (No. 10) are ranked higher in NorCal.

The CR women are tied with Butte atop the conference standings with identical 4-1 records.

CR (16-4 overall) hosts Lassen on Saturday at 3 p.m.
