SOCCER ROUNDUP — H-DNL goes down to the final day

The Eureka girls won a make-up game with South Fork in girls soccer on Monday, closing out league play with a record of 9-1-2.

The 7-0 win puts the pressure on the Fortuna Huskies to get at least a tie in their final league game on Wednesday if they want to clinch the league championship outright.

The Fortuna girls, who host McKinleyville in their finale, have already secured at least a share of the league title, their first ever in girls soccer.

Wednesday’s game at Fortuna has been moved forward to  3 p.m. due to the impending power outage, with the Fortuna and McKinleyville boys scheduled to play at 5.
