By Ray Hamill — The poll results are in and the North Coast has spoken, St. Bernard’s is looking pretty good right now.

Earlier this week, we asked you which of the nine local football teams was best positioned to make a run in the second half of the regular season.

And the results show overwhelmingly that the Crusaders (5-0) are that team, receiving 40.6 percent of the votes

However, many of you also voted for both Eureka (2-3) and Del Norte (4-1).

The Loggers came in second in our poll with 29 percent of the vote, followed by Del Norte with 24 percent.

All three teams will fancy their chances when the Big 4 gets under way in three weeks.

Ferndale (2-2) was a distant fourth in our poll with 6.4 percent of the votes.

Eureka will play at Ukiah this Friday night, while Del Norte will host Fortuna.

Ferndale travels to Arcata, and St. Bernard’s has a bye.
