By Ray Hamill — There were many heroes for McKinleyville in Friday night’s breakthrough win against Fort Bragg, none more so than senior receiver/DB Che Jimenez, who has arguably been the Panthers’ most impressive player so far this season.
Jimenez has certainly been consistent, making plays on both sides of the ball.
He had several big tackles against Fort Bragg on Friday night, as well as coming away with a key interception, as the Mack defense frustrated the Timberwolves in a 21-15 victory.
On the offensive side of the ball, Jimenez has been the team’s leading receiver through the opening three weeks and has played a pivotal role in the passing game’s big improvement this season.
Defensively, he has been a ball hog, with three interceptions already.
The Panthers, who are 1-2, will travel to Lower Lake on Friday.
