The McKinleyville Panthers got a busy week off to a good start with their second win of the season on the volleyball court on Tuesday night, winning 25-22, 25-17, 25-15 at Brookings-Harbor.
Senior Rian Hennan had a big night in the win, finishing with eight kills and three solo blocks, while her younger sister, junior Cameron Heenan, had six kills, 13 digs and an ace.
Lexi White also had a big game, finishing with 15 assists and seven digs, while Hailee Henry had two kills, two blocks and an ace.
The Panthers, who improved to 2-0, will continue a busy week in a match at home to St. Bernard’s on Wednesday night, before heading south to Healdsburg for a tournament this weekend.
Wednesday’s varsity game gets under way at 6:30 p.m., with the JVs playing at 5:30.
