The McKinleyville girls soccer team got the season off to a wining start with a comprehensive 6-1 victory over Willits on Friday.

Sofia Reyes netted four goals in the win, while teammate Mackenzie Bray had a goal and five assists.

Cicely Jones rounded out the scoring, and Olivia Alexander also had an assist.

Next up, the 1-0 Panthers will play at Arcata’s Eye of the Tiger tournament next weekend.
