Redwood Empire capped an undefeated run through the District 26 12-year-olds all-star tournament with a 15-5 win over Arcata in Redway on Thursday.
The Redwood Empire all-stars join the McKinleyville 8-9-10s and 11-year-olds in claiming a district championship and will now advance to the Section 2 Tournament in Yuba City.
The Eureka team reached the championship game with wins over Arcata (10-0) on Saturday and McKinleyville (8-3) on Sunday, as well as a 7-6 win over Eel River on Tuesday in their toughest game of the week.
Redwood Empire overcame a 6-2 deficit with five runs in the sixth and final inning, with Sebastian Standish providing the rally highlight with his second home run of the tournament.

Mike Jewell went the distance on the hill in the championship game for his second win of the week, and got plenty of support from a red-hot Redwood Empire offense that displayed its depth and racked up an impressive 40 runs in four games.
Arcata reached the championship game of the double-elimination tournament with three straight wins after an opening loss to Redwood Empire.
Included in that run was a dramatic 3-2 walk-off win against McKinleyville on Tuesday.

Jackson Kelly was instrumental in that win, while teammate AJ Greenway secured the victory with the walk-off hit.
The McKinleyville 9/10s and 11-year-olds each also advance to section tournaments.
The 9/10s will host in McKinleyville, beginning July 13, while the 11-year-olds will play in Redding, beginning July 12.
