Seventh-inning letdown proves costly for Crabs in Lincoln

The Humboldt Crabs gave up five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on the way to an 11-7 loss to the Potters in Lincoln on Friday night.

One day after posting an impressive win at the Healdsburg Prune Packers, the Crabs were unable to carry the momentum into the weekend series, giving up an early five-run advantage.

Former Fortuna and College of the Redwoods standout Kokko Figueiredo had a big night in the loss, finishing 3-for-3 and reaching base all five times he came to bat.

Damian Henderson also had a big night in the loss, blasting a pair of home runs to give him four on the season, while Dawson Bacho and Carter Booth each had a double.

The Crabs, who dropped to 6-10 on the season, used five different pitchers in the loss.

The two teams will continue their weekend series in Lincoln on Saturday night.
