The Arcata boys maintained their fast start to the Humboldt-Del Norte League tennis season with a second shutout win in two days, defeating Eureka 7-0 at Arcata High on Saturday.
The win lifts the defending league champions to 2-0.
At No. 1 singles, Arcata’s Addison Childs defeated Eureka’s Max Dunham, 6-0, 6-0, while at No. 2, Tristan Washington defeated Tyler Petrusha, 6-0, 6-0.
For the second straight day, the Arcata boys lost just a single game in four singles matchups.
At No. 3 singles, Spencer Olson got the better of Ryan Chapman, 6-0, 6-0, while at No. 4, Aiden Waters defeated Ryn Albee, 6-1, 6-0.
Janzen and Washington teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Hunter Lewis and Ian Davison won at No. 2 doubles.
The Tigers travel to Ferndale on Tuesday.
