The College of the Redwoods women’s basketball team closed out the three-day Shasta Tournament with a 62-49 loss to San Jose on Saturday.
Darienne Kartes led the Corsairs with 13 points, while teammate Taylor Murray capped a strong tournament with 11 points.
“We played good defensively, but we struggled offensively,” CR head coach Jain Tuey said.
Bobbie Purify added eight points for the Corsairs, who drop to 3-5 on the season.
CR went 1-2 at the tournament, with some solid performances.
“Overall, I’m pleased with how the girls played all weekend,” Tuey added.
