By Ray Hamill — Arcata’s North Coast Section playoff game has been switched from Saturday night to Friday because of scheduling conflicts with Humboldt State.
The Lumberjacks will be playing their final game ever at the Redwood Bowl on Saturday afternoon, and on Tuesday the decision was made to move the Arcata game forward 24 hours to avoid any complications.
Arcata plays all its home games at HSU’s Redwood Bowl, and earned the right to host a first-round playoff game after clinching the Little 4 this past weekend.
The Tigers will play in the NCS Division-V bracket and are seeded No. 9.
They will open against No. 8 Cloverdale.
Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m.
In other NCS playoffs games this weekend, Fortuna will host El Molino on Friday night at 7 pm., while St. Bernard’s will host Albany on Saturday at noon.
Ferndale travels to play at Berean Christian on Saturday afternoon, while Hoopa opens at St. Helena on Saturday night.
