Will Omey passed for seven touchdowns and ran in for another to lead St. Bernard’s to a thrilling 56-54 overtime win in football at Fortuna on Friday night, while Eureka midfielder Athena Miller scored two goals and added two assists on Saturday as the Loggers capped a perfect regular season in girls soccer with a 6-0 win at McKinleyville.

And that earns each of them this week’s Humboldt Sports Athlete of the Week honors.

The Eureka football team, meanwhile, celebrated senior night with a comprehensive 44-6 win over Del Norte to go to 9-0 on the season, earning the Loggers Team of the Week honors.
