The South Fork Cubs were handed a forfeit win over Elsie Allen on Thursday after it was announced the Lobos would not make the trip from Santa Rosa to Miranda for a scheduled Friday night football showdown.
A lack of players available for the game was cited as the reason.
It means the Cubs close out the regular season with a record of 7-3 (3-2 in league) as they get set for next week’s North Coast Section playoffs.
However, it also means two weeks between games for the Miranda school, which lost at Branson last week, 66-20.
The Cub are ranked No. 3 in NCS eight-player football, behind No, 1 Branson and No. 2 Priory, two teams they lost to this year.
South Fork finished third in the six-team NCL II.
The NCS brackets will be announced on Sunday, with the playoffs getting under way next weekend.
