The Cal Poly Humboldt men and women will kick off conference play with a home doubleheader against Menlo on Friday.

The College of the Redwoods women will also be in action on Friday, when they travel to play Los Medanos.

The CR women hosted Solano on Tuesday and fell 3-0, dropping to 1-4 on the season.

The Mustangs are 2-4.

The CR women will also play on Saturday at Marin, which is 0-4 on the season.

Both of CR’s weekend games kick off at noon.

The Cal Poly Humboldt men get Friday’s doubleheader at College Creek Field under way at noon, before the Humboldt women take the field at 3 p.m.

The Humboldt men are 1-2-3 on the season after tying Saint Martin’s 2-2 on Saturday.

Dominic Calero and Seth Uson each scored for the Jacks, who have tied three straight games heading into conference play.

They also tied Western Oregon 1-1 last Thursday.

Menlo is 2-2-1 on the season.

The CPH women, meanwhile, are coming off a 1-0 loss to Dominican on Saturday and are 2-2-2 on the season.

The Jacks’ defense has impressed early in the new campaign and has posted four shutouts in the first six games.

They have allowed just four goals, including three in a 3-2 loss to Concordia late last month.

The Menlo women are 3-1-1.

Both Humboldt teams will also host Cal State East Bay in conference play on Sunday, with the men kicking off at 11 a.m., followed by the women at 2 p.m.
