By Ray Hamill — Football returned to the North Coast on Saturday morning, as the league varsity and JV teams traveled to McKinleyville High School for the H-DNL’s annual preseason jamboree.

Eight of the nine local high school programs were on hand for a series of varsity and JV scrimmages and a first look at their league opponents.

There was also a large crowd in attendance, giving local fans a first look at this year’s teams. The 2026 season officially kicks off next weekend.
