Fan Appreciation Night at the Redwood Acres Raceway will feature something new this year.

The annual event will take place on Aug. 15, on the fourth racing event of the summer season.

The night’s action will be presented by Harper Motors and will feature the Mid-City Motor World Late Models, Upstate Bomber Series, Legends, Jr. Legends and mini stocks

And this year, North Coast racing fans will also be treated to something different, with raceway officials adding a fan favorite event to the schedule.

In addition to the regular racing, the night will also include boat racing and a new Pull & Park Trailer Race.

Trailer races have become immensely popular at many race tracks across the country.

The object of the race is for a driver to pull their car into the back of a flat-bed trailer as it is pulled around the track at speed.

The first driver who is able to successfully pull their car onto the trailer and park it will be declared the race winner.

Admission for Fan Appreciation Night will be half-price with general admission tickets $7 and child/senior/military tickets $6.

Harper Motors will be hosting their annual Mustang Show And Shine prior to the races, starting at noon.

Grandstands will open at 3:30 p.m. with racing starting at 5.

Rules for the boat race are available at RacinTheAcres.com and can be also found on the track’s Facebook page.
