Former Eureka Logger Myles Standish is coming off an outstanding spring season playing baseball at Santa Rosa JC, and it has not gone unnoticed.

The 2023 Eureka High graduate helped lead the Bear Cubs to a 34-15 record on the way to the NorCal Regional Finals and was named Big 8 Conference Pitcher of the Year.

The outstanding lefty appeared in 16 games for Santa Rosa, including three starts, and compiled a record of 9-0 with an impressive ERA of 1.95.

He finished the season with 118 strikeouts in 101.1 innings, which was second best in the state.

Standish also was included as one of 20 players on the Northern California All-State team.

But he wasn’t done yet.

This week, Standish was named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Pacific Association Division All-America Second Team.

The Bear Cubs finished third in the Big 8 with a record of 15-9.
