The Cal Poly Humboldt basketball teams continued their impressive run in conference play on Thursday night.

The Jacks hit the road to play at San Francisco State and swept both games.

The Humboldt women got the night started and won 63-52 to go to 7-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, while the CPH men won 90-83 and improved to 5-2 in conference.

The women’s team remained in a tie for the conference lead with Cal Poly Pomona and Chico State, each of whom also won on Thursday.

The 7-0 start to conference play is the program’s best since 2014, and the Jacks are now 9-4 overall.

The victory also extended Humboldt’s winning streak to six straight games, the program’s longest run since the 2019 season.

Freshman center Jordyn Smith once again paced Humboldt, recording her seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while adding two steals and a block.

Smith anchored a balanced Humboldt effort that saw three Lumberjacks score 12 points, including Shade Satica and Kyori Lloyd.

Humboldt took control early, opening the game with a 16-13 first quarter before erupting offensively in the second.

The Lumberjacks shot nearly 59 percent from the field in the period and outscored the Gators 23-10 to carry a commanding 39-23 lead into halftime.

The Jacks will look to keep their unbeaten conference streak alive on Saturday when they travel to face Cal State East Bay (4-9, 3-4 CCAA), with tip-off in Hayward set for 5:30 p.m..

The Humboldt men, meanwhile, remained tied for second in the CCAA standings after winning their fourth straight conference game.

The Jacks, who are unbeaten in 2026, delivered one of their most efficient offensive performances of the season, shooting nearly 58 percent from the field and over 60 percent from beyond the arc.

The Jacks finished the night 26-of-45 overall and an impressive 14-of-23 from 3-point range, controlling the game with balance, pace, and perimeter shooting.

Drew Ardouin led the team with 22 points off the bench, connecting on 6-of-8 shots from the field and 5-of-6 from long range.

Ardouin’s scoring punch proved critical as Humboldt built a five-point halftime lead and matched San Francisco State point-for-point in the second half to seal the road win.

Zaveion Bineyard delivered a strong all-around performance with 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range, while also pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.

The Humboldt men will try to make it five straight CCAA wins at Cal State East Bay on Saturday.

But they will have their hands full going up against the No. 10 team in the nation, which is a perfect 7-0 in conference and 13-0 on the season.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
