The last three remaining H-DNL teams in the North Coast Section volleyball playoffs were in action on Saturday night, but all three lost their quarterfinals.
In Division 4, the Big 5 champion Eureka Loggers traveled to Lake County to play Kelseyville and lost in four sets, 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22.
The loss ends an impressive year for the No. 5 seeded Loggers, who won an opening-round playoff game for the first time in more than two decades earlier in the week.
In Division-6 action, Little 4 champion St. Bernard’s and conference runner-up Ferndale both also traveled for their quarterfinals.
The Crusaders, who were seeded No. 5, played at No. 4 St. Vincent de Paul and fell in three sets, 25-14, 25-21, 27-25.
The No. 11 Wildcats played at No. 3 Laytonville and also lost, but they went the distance before falling in five sets.
The Cats took the opening two sets to take control of the game, but the Warriors would rally to win three straight sets to take the victory and move on.
They won 22-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-20, 15-12.
