The Eureka Loggers ended a seven-year wait for a Big 5 championship in volleyball with a win over Fortuna last week. 

On Tuesday, they secured the title outright.

The Loggers traveled to Crescent City to play the Del Norte Warriors, who could have clinched a share of the conference title with both Eureka and Arcata with a victory.

But it was the visitors who prevailed in five sets, ending an exciting race for this year’s championship and the possibility of a three-way tie.
