The Cal Poly Humboldt women moved one point clear at the top of the California Collegiate Athletic Association soccer standings after stretching their unbeaten run to five straight games on Sunday.

The Jacks closed out a weekend trip to the Bay Area with a 0-0 tie at San Francisco State.

It was the fifth straight shutout for the Jacks and fourth in four conference games as they improved to 2-0-2 in the CCAA (eight points) and 4-3-4 overall.

They came into the weekend tied for the CCAA lead with Cal State San Bernardino, but the Coyotes fell 2-0 to UC Merced on Sunday and dropped into a tie for second with Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State East Bay, all of whom have seven points.

The Jacks are now the only undefeated team in the CCAA.

And they have been succeeding with arguably the best defense in conference.

On Sunday, they held San Francisco without a single shot on goal.

Cal Poly Humboldt will continue conference play this week in Arcata, hosting Stanislaus State on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in their “Pink Match” and Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on Senior Day.
