Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

The Cal Poly Humboldt women’s volleyball team is back on the North Coast this weekend and will host a six-team tournament that got under way on Thursday.

The 2025 Redwood Coast Volleyball Classic will run for three days, concluding on Saturday.

In addition to the host school, the tournament will also feature teams from Chico State, Dominican, Jessup, Oklahoma Baptist and Oklahoma Christian.

The six teams will combine for 12 matches over the three days.

Humboldt plays a doubleheader of games on Thursday, opening against Oklahoma Christian in the afternoon (2 p.m.), before taking on Oklahoma Baptist at 7 p.m. 

The Jacks also play Jessup University on Friday night at 7 p.m., and will wrap up tournament action against Dominican University on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. 

A young Cal Poly roster features 13 newcomers this season, including 11 freshmen.

The Jacks are 0-4 heading into this week’s action.
