Any locals interested in learning how to officiate youth flag football games for the 2025 Humboldt Flag Football summer season can take advantage of a couple of upcoming online training sessions.

NFL Flag is offering free, virtual officiating training covering the NFL Flag rule book, game management techniques, and the mechanics needed to operate and communicate on the field.

Sessions will last 60 to 75 minutes and provide key insights for officials at all levels.

The training topics include major rule variations in NFL Flag, resources to recruit officials, training officials in 2/3 man mechanics and game management and communication with coaches, players and officials.

The upcoming sessions will be held on March 12 and March 24 at 5 p.m. local time.
