The St. Bernard’s Crusaders were the clear champions this year in Little 4 boys basketball, but there was no separating the rest of the field.
On Friday night, the Hoopa Warriors hosted the Ferndale Wildcats in both teams’ regular-season finale and the home team prevailed 68-55.
That leaves the Warriors, Wildcats and South Fork Cubs all tied for second in the conference standings.
Because of that, the league held a coin toss after Friday’s game to determine how the Little 4’s second and third seeds for the Dick Niclai tournament would be decided.
Hoopa won a three-way coin toss to automatically advance to the tournament, while South Fork and Ferndale will face off in a play-in game on Saturday night.
That game will be held at South Fork, courtesy of another coin toss.
The winner of the play-in game will then receive a No. 2 seed for the Niclai tournament and will host No. 3 Hoopa on Monday night.
