By Ray Hamill — After the opening day of the 2024 Coach Tregs Classic men’s basketball tournament had to be postponed because of Thursday’s earthquake, College of the Redwoods announced a new tournament schedule later in the day.

Th three-day tourney will now tip off on Friday and will feature the same schedule of games, just a day later for each.

The host Corsairs will get things under way on Friday night when they play Mendocino College at 7 p.m.

This will be a rematch of the championship game at the Mendo tournament two weeks, which the Corsairs won 68-67.

The tournament continues on Saturday when the CR men play Southwestern Oregon, also at 7 p.m.

Sunday will feature a pair of games.

Mendocino will play Southwestern Oregon at 1 p.m., followed by Redwoods and Simpson JV at 3 p.m.
