The Arcata Tigers continued their recent dominance with another big regular season in H-DNL girls tennis and a strong showing at the recent league singles championships.
The Tigers went 12-0 in league play, which was their seventh consecutive perfect league campaign.
And they carried that form over into the H-DNL singles championships, winning four of the six titles up for grabs.
Arcata’s Meta Nave won at No. 2 singles, while teammates Abigail Issa, Ella Brown and Khloey Donnely placed first at Nos. 3 through 5 singles.
Northcoast Prep’s Lily Bazemore placed first in the No. 1 singles bracket, while Eureka’s Madeline Dotson-Murphy placed first in the No. 6 bracket.
Bazemore will represent the league at the upcoming North Coast Section singles tournament, while the Arcata Tigers will now advance to the NCS team championships.
The H-DNL doubles championships was scheduled to take place over the weekend but had to be postponed because of the rain.
The doubles tournament is now scheduled for Thursday.
