Some local fan favorites took advantage of a break in action at the Redwood Acres Raceway by traveling south to compete at the Ukiah Speedway over the weekend.

And they enjoyed plenty of success.

Most notably, Brandon White continued his domination in the Nor Cal Legend Series by winning another feature in the series, while Jordan Krupa was victorious in the Upstate Bomber Series.

White’s victory was particularly impressive coming against more than 30 of the best Legend drivers in the region, including Cameron Austin, Mike Doss, Trey Daniels and Mikey Lovell.

Tyler Krupa of Eureka placed eighth.

Jordan Krupa also impressed on his way to taking the checkered flag in the Upstate Bombers race, which won’t surprise local fans who have seen him in action this season.

Jordan Krupa beat out Bob Mook and Anthony Fomasi for the victory, with Kadence Toland of Eureka finishing fourth.

Youngster T.J. Sorrels rounded out the top five.

The Upstate Modified Series was also in action Saturday, with regular frontrunner Eric Price, Jr. winning over Sammy Nuno, Trystan Mucci, Sal Martinez and Sierra Furia.

Alderpoint’s Luke Hall placed sixth.

Chris Straka won the Pro-4 Modified feature while the Junior Legend feature went to Ryan Molina and the Bandolero win was taken by Kaine Betancourt.

The Redwood Acres season is currently in the midst of a five-week break in the action and will resume with a packed night of action on July 27.

Many of the drivers who participated in Saturday’s Upstate Modified Series event will be on hand at the next Redwood Acres race night, which will feature the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series, the Spears Modified Series and the Nor Cal Legend Series.

Tickets are currently available on RacinTheAcres.com.
