More schedule changes announced for Big 5 and Little 4 games

By Ray Hamill — Some more changes to the weekend schedule of Big 5 and Little 4 baseball games were announced on Friday morning.

A Friday doubleheader between the South Fork and Ferndale in Miranda has been pushed back to Monday because of field conditions.

A Saturday doubleheader at Arcata between the Tigers and Eureka Loggers also has been pushed back, but just by two hours, in order to give the field some extra time to dry.

First pitch is now set for 1 p.m.

A Friday afternoon doubleheader between the Warriors and St. Bernard’s in Hoopa is still going ahead at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, a doubleheader between the Panthers and Fortuna at McKinleyville is also still on, with first pitch set for 11 a.m.

SOFTBALL

In Softball, South Fork and Ferndale will play a doubleheader in Miranda on Friday, beginning at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, the Arcata girls will host Eureka in a Big 5 doubleheader, with first pitch set for 11 a.m.

Fortuna will also host McKinleyville in a Big 5 doubleheader on Saturday, which also begins at 11 a.m.

Three additional softball games will take place on Monday.

The St. Bernard’s girls will travel to Hoopa for a doubleheader that was originally scheduled for Friday.

First pitch is at 2 p.m.

Also on Monday the Mack girls will host Fortuna in a single game at 4 p.m.

The St. Bernard’s softball team’s doubleheader at Hoopa has been pushed back from Friday to Monday.
