By Ray Hamill — Local fans unable to make the trip to Merced for Wednesday night’s community college men’s basketball playoff game will be able to follow the action live online.
On Sunday, College of the Redwoods received the No. 22 seed for the NorCal tournament and will play at No. 11 Merced College on Wednesday night.
The game tips off at 7 p.m.
The playoff appearance is the fourth in four seasons for the Corsairs under head coach Ryan Bisio.
And the showdown will be streamed live through the Merced athletics YouTube page.
The link can be accessed here.
The Corsairs, who finished second in the Golden Valley Conference and fell just shy of winning a fourth straight conference championship, will carry plenty of momentum into the do-or-die showdown having won six of their last seven games.
CR closed out the regular season with a record of 17-11, while Merced is 21-7.
Merced placed fourth in a competitive Central Valley Conference and has won three straight.
The College of the Redwoods women also qualified for the playoffs and will open against Sierra, also at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night.
That game will take place at William Jessup University in Rocklin but unfortunately will not be streamed live.
