The state championship Ferndale Wildcats have announced their end-of-season award winners.

The Wildcats capped an incredible season by taking home a Division 7-AA championship in football last month, becoming just the third H-DNL school to win a state title.

On Sunday, they handed out their season awards, with six different players honored.

The winners include …

Levi Dixon, who received the Finn Goff Captains Award.

Trent Titus, who received the Leonard Casanova Most Inspirational Player Award.

Tanner Pidgeon, who received the first annual Fight Like A Wildcat Award.

Ethan Weitzel, who received the Mike Wells Outstanding Lineman Award

Prescott Langer, who received the Jamie Allen Mr. Back Award.

Tristen Titus, who was named MVP of the JV Team.

The Wildcats beat Fairfax, a school of 2,000 students, 29-21 in the state final.

Last week, the Cats were honored as one of the best small town teams in the state by MaxPreps and senior Isaak Kasso was named on the all-state small-town team.

St. Bernard’s (2015 and 2019) and Fortuna (2017) are the only other H-DNL schools to win a state championship in football.
