The Eureka Loggers enjoyed a successful weekend in JV boys basketball.

The young Eureka players improved to 9-7 on the season with a big showing on the way to clinching the Enterprise tournament.

While the program’s varsity team won two of three games on the way to placing third at the tournament, the JVs won all three of their games.

The Loggers defeated University Prep 67-54 in the final after earlier defeating Enterprise 61-41 and Lassen 67-16.

The championship will give the young Loggers some momentum heading into league play this week.

Eureka opens the Big 5 at Del Norte on Thursday’s with tip off set for 6 p.m.
