The Crusaders will honor three former teams during their homecoming festivities later this month.

The school announced this week that the St. Bernard Academy Alumni Association will host a homecoming recognition and reception on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the High School.

The SB football team kicks off the Big 4 that afternoon against Fortuna at Crusader Field.

The alumni association will be honoring the 1999 North Coast Section champion girls soccer team, which became the first ever H-DNL soccer team, boys or girls, to win a section title.

The alumni association will also honor the 2015 cheerleading and Division-5 state championship football teams.

According to a press release, “These teams, athletes and coaches will be recognized for having significant historical impact on the school and its community.”

All three teams will be introduced to the crowd at midfield prior to the varsity football game.

Admission is free for the athletes being honored and their immediate family.

A reception for all honorees, alumni and friends of St. Bernard’s are invited to attend.

It will occur immediately following the game in the school library and food and drinks will be provided.
