Local basketball fans can showcase their support for one of the most successful teams in College of the Redwoods history this month.

The Corsairs men’s basketball team, which will compete for a record fourth consecutive Golden Valley Conference championship this coming winter, will host a fundraising golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 29.

The tournament will be held at the Eureka Municipal Golf Course.

The cost for a team of four is $400 and the tournament will feature a four-person scramble format.

The tournament gets under way at 9 a.m., with check-in at 8:30.

The CR men’s team has enjoyed unprecedented success since head coach Ryan Bisio and Claus took over the program in the spring of 2019 and have won three straight GVC crowns for the first time in school history.
