VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS — Cats pull away with six first-half TDs

By Ray Hamill — The Wildcats were firing on all cylinders in the first half of their victory over South Fork in Ferndale on Saturday afternoon.

An offensive line that includes Ethan Weitzel, Kacey Luster, Skiler Hall, Andrew Clevenger, Juan Mena-Funes and tight end Levi Dixon, dominated throughout and set the tone for a relentless Ferndale running game, with five different players running in for touchdowns.

The Cats scored on their opening six possessions of the first half and led 41-0 at the interval on their way to a 51-6 win.

Fergison opened the scoring with a one-yard TD run and found the end zone a second time on his team’s next possession, this time from 16 yards out.

Senior Trent Titus scored the third TD on a nine-yard run, before quarterback Tanner Pidgeon scored from a yard out.

Langer would add two more touchdowns before halftime, one on a 25-yard reception from Pidgeon and one on a 15-yard run.

Jonah Anderson closed out the scoring on a late TD run, after kicker Dayton Comer kicked a 24-yard field goal.

With the win, the Cats improved to 2-1 on the season, as they get set for a challenging matchup against Fortuna in the annual Milk Can game at Husky Field.

South Fork dropped to 0-3.
