Little League TOC begins this weekend ay Hiller Park

Get ready for a feast of Little League action in the coming days.

McKinleyville Little League will play host to the 2023 District 26 Little League Tournament of Champions, which gets under way this weekend.

The tournament will feature 16 teams from six different local Little League associations and will run for four days, with all 15 games slated for Hiller Park

The single elimination tournament opens with eight games on two different fields on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

Sunday will feature four second-round games, with a pair of semifinals on Monday and the championship game set for Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Redwood Empire will have four teams competing, while the host association and Eel River will each field three teams.

Arcata, Southern Humboldt and Klamath Trinity will all field two teams.

On Saturday, games are scheduled for 10 a.m., and 12:15, 2:30 and 4:45 p.m. on field one.

On field two, games will be played at 10:15 a.m. and 12:30, 2:45 and 5 p.m.

McKinleyville’s Trinity Diesel won the 2022 TOC, defeating Rich Drilling 12-2 in an all-McKinleyville championship game.

Trinity Diesel won an all-McKinleyville final in 2022.

This year’s TOC will take place on two fields at Hiller Park.
