The St. Bernard’s girls took care of business at South Fork on Thursday, beating the Cubs 55-26 on the way to improving to 4-0 in the Little 4.

Hannah Finck scored a game-high 12 points in the win, including four 3-pointers, as the Crusaders moved to within one victory of at least a share of this year’s league championship.

“Great team effort,” said coach Matt Tomlin, who brought up three JVs for the game — Kayla Maples Mckinsey Lemley and Bailee White — and went deep to his bench with 11 of 14 players scoring.

Madelyn Shanahan and Laila Florvilus each scored 11 points in the win, while Alyssa Boham had four points.

Payton Knox had a big night on the boards and finished with 10 rebounds to go with two points, while Alyssa Boham and Maples each chipped in four points.

Rounding out the team scoring, Lemley had three points, Addisyn Burris and Shaya Robinson two apiece and White one.

The win was the ninth straight for the Crusaders, who improved to 19-2 on the season.

Caidence Young continued to lead a young Cubs team offensively and scored a team-high 11 points while Arianna Rose finished with eight points, Macy Yarbrough five and Jalynn Worswick two.

The Cubs dropped to 0-4 I the Little and 5-10 overall.
