College of the Redwoods split a basketball doubleheader at home to Siskiyous on Wednesday evening.

The CR men won 71-63, while the women fell 64-52.

The victory for the Redwoods men, which was their 20th on the season, lifts them to 4-1 in the Golden Valley Conference and leave them alone atop the standings, one win ahead of both Butte and Feather River, each of which is 3-2.

The Corsairs are now 20-3.

The loss for the CR women was their fourth straight, as they dropped to 1-4 in conference and 6-16 overall.

No stats were immediately available for either team.

Both CR teams travel to Shasta to begin the second half of conference play on Saturday.

The men play at  1 p.m. and the women play at 3 p.m.

The next home game for both teams will be the following Saturday against Lassen.
