The Fortuna Huskies lost in the championship game at the Dixon Ram Jam tournament on Friday night, falling 60-40 to Vacaville.
The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Huskies, who are now 10-5 and will tip off the Big 5 next week as one of the favorites to win this year’s title.
Head coach Norm Sotomayor described it as a “valiant effort” against a “big and athletic” Vacaville team.
The Bulldogs improved to 10-4 with the victory.
Alfonso Medina capped a big three days in tournament play with a team-high 11 points in the loss and was named to the all-tournament team.

The Huskies tip off the Big 5 at home to defending league champion Arcata on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
