The Fortuna boys will play Vacaville for the Dixon Ram Jam tournament championship on Friday night after a couple of impressive wins in tournament play this week.
The Huskies, who improved to 10-4, opened the tournament with a hard-fought 77-73 win over Marin Academy on Wednesday, before getting the better of the host school by a score of 61-33 on Thursday.
Alfonso Medina has been on fire for the Huskies in tournament play, posting double-doubles in both wins.
The junior standout finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists against Marin and followed that with 23 points, 10 boards and eight steals against Dixon.
Russell Pascascio also had a double-double in the opener, finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while teammate Cody Collins added 17 points and sophomore Jake Houseworth had 10 rebounds and nine points.
In a back-and-forth game, the Huskies held on for the win after outscoring Marin 26-25 in a high-scoring final quarter.
Pascascio continued to impress against Dixon and finished with eight points, as nine of the 10 Fortuna players scored.
Kallen Barotte added eight points and seven rebounds in the win, while Collins added seven points and six rebounds.
